No Game
A downloadable thought
NO GAME
is an experimental writing on what it feels like when I make a game. I didn't think I thought so much but I did and I wrote it down. Contained within are three psuedo games or ways to interact with my thought process while also potentially having fun. The last thing is actually an interesting game mechanic that I didn't have the spoons to develop into a standalone project and you can use it in your own games.
If you've ever commented, said, or even thought "there is no game here," this zine is explicitly not for you.
Purchase of this game includes a commercial license to ECCY, an abstract blackletter-inspired display typeface I designed as part of the process. The download link for the font file is in the zine, the file is not hosted on this itch page.
NO GAME
is presented here as a risograph zine printed by Irrelevant Press. PDFs include both the digital version setup for print and a scanned version to retain the textures and characteristics of the final riso print. A limited number of hand signed & numbered print zines are available at worldchamp.io/store. This is a one-time printing and will not be made again.
ECCY License:
The purchase of No Game includes a font license to be used in personal and commercial projects (including games of all kinds). It does not allow you to repackage or modify the files for resale. Free downloads of No Game allow for personal use of Eccy, though you are encouraged to pay the minimum recommended price to allow for commercial use. If you're a fan of my type design, consider also purchasing my first font release Quincica here.
