A downloadable Hex Pack

Buy Now$4.99 USD or more

Hand painted and drawn tile illustrations for use in HexKit by Cecil Howe.

This pack focuses on a traditional restricted color palette of Ochre, Burnt Umber, Sap Green, Scarlet Red, Indigo, and India Ink Black. Each color offers over a dozen tiles with both wet and dry brush. Spread them for consistency or mix and match for variation and implied terrain changes.

Also includes varied illustration packs of black ink with transparent backgrounds for overlaying and mixing with the colored hexes. Illustrations feature flowers, eyes, portals ephemera, and more.

The purchase of this tile set includes a commercial use license.
You can use maps created with these tiles in your own commercial products as long as you credit Adam Vass and World Champ Game Co.  for Map Tile Art! You cannot resale the individual tiles or distribute them in any way.

For HexKit questions, check out their FAQ at http://coneofnegativeenergy.com/hexkit/faq/  and a Tutorial at http://coneofnegativeenergy.com/hexkit/help/

Just import whole folders into the Hex Kit app, they'll be sorted in their respective subfolders ready for you. Use additional layers within the app to put illustration tiles on top of color hexes.

If you create a cool map using these tools, please share a link in the comments! I'm excited to see how people interpret and use these in their own work.

UPDATE: June 18, 2020. The first expansion has arrived! Featuring 5 new colors (emerald, slime, antelope brown, metallic gold, and cyan) and a new suite of illustrations including witchcraft, plants, clocks, and more.

These are unbelievably beautiful and inspiring! Thank you!

Thank you! Please come back and share what you make with them

Your style would work really well for space assets, lots of colorful nebulas and gas clouds and the like, and I'm sure you could do some neat planets with wet brushes too. There's not really a whole lot of good space assets for Hex Kit other than Part 1 of Spaceland (who knows if Part 2 will ever be out).

Unsure if you have seen them but mv has two amazing space related hex kits.
